By using Tru Revu (trurevu.co.za) (“Site”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you disagree, do not use the Site. TruRevu OÜ (“we,” “us”) operates the Site under Estonian law, compliant with SA regulations.
1. Eligibility
• Users must be SA businesses or authorized representatives (18+). Accounts require verification (e.g., business ID or email address).
2. Services
• Tru Revu allows submission of replies to negative reviews but charges a once-off fee for the reply in order to cover general adminstrative and moderation costs.
• Process: Quote descriptors (no Personally Identifiable Information, also referred to as PPI ); provide evidence; we moderate for accuracy.
• We facilitate PoPIA Section 5 rights to correct inaccuracies; replies are user-generated content (UGC) and posted subject to a non-exclusive license granted by the user to Tru Revu by their submission of reviews/replies on this website.
3. User Content and Responsibilities
• The poster owns their posts but grants Tru Revu a non-exclusive license to display.
• Content must be factual, evidence-based; no defamation, infringement, or harm.
•Tru Revu moderates but disclaims liability for UGC (ECT Act Section 73: host immunity if removed post-notice). Tru Revu is not in any way liable as it does not own the rights in and to comments, posts, reviews, replies posted on its website. All users who post on the website hereby irrevocably indemnify Tru Revu against any and all claims, howsoever arising, and by any third party whatsoever, for their posts on Tru Revu.
• Prohibited content on this website includes: False claims, PII, spam, malicious, defamatory or harmful posts.
4. Intellectual Property
• Review quotes use fair dealing (Copyright Act Section 12(1)(b)) for criticism; attributed anonymously.
• Site content is ours; no reproduction without consent.
5. Fees and Payments
• Once off fee per published reply (non-refundable; covers moderation). No subscriptions.
• Compliant with CPA for fair pricing; disputes via [email protected].
6. Liability and Disclaimers
• Site “as is”; no warranties.
• We are not liable for UGC inaccuracies (common law defamation defenses apply: truth/fair comment).
• Indemnify us against claims from your content.
7. Dispute Resolution
• Governed by SA law; jurisdiction in SA courts.
• For HelloPeter-related issues, complaints, reviews and replies: TruRevu is independent and has no affiliation to HelloPeter whatsoever.
8. Termination and Changes
• We may terminate accounts for violations.
• Terms may update; continued use implies acceptance.
